Parent Experience and Expectations

Shared Beliefs

At CHE, our families share a commitment to homeschooling and living out Christian values. Parents are encouraged to model respect, kindness, and good etiquette, creating a positive example for children and a welcoming environment for everyone. We are a supportive, no-drama community—focused on learning, growth, and connection—and ask that all members help keep our space collaborative, healty, and respectful.

Cooperation

CHE depends on active parent participation. Parents help by leading a class during our Enrichment Semester or supporting our co-op community in hosting events for our Inspiration Semester. Leading a class is a chance to shape learning your way—design lessons, guide projects, and bring your vision of education to life—while also receiving a membership discount. Hands-on involvement is expected and essential to our co-op’s success.

*Parents with high schoolers may opt for drop-off for an extra fee. No other age group is eligible for drop off.

During Meetings

At CHE, we count on parents to be present and engaged with their children throughout our visits—inside the classrooms, in the halls, outside, and anywhere on campus. During class time, at least one parent helper is needed, and parents of students who need extra support may stay in class with them. If you’re not assisting in class, feel free to enjoy our parent break space. Together, we keep our spaces safe, tidy, and welcoming. You are your child’s primary caregiver during all co-op activities.

*Full parent and student expectations are included in the Parent Guide and annual meeting.
